Are you 100% sure that you are on your way to heaven? Many "think" they are going to heaven, many "hope" they are, and many just "don't know for sure." The Bible (which is God's Word) gives you a way that you can know for sure without a doubt that you are on your way to heaven when you die. I John 5:13 says, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." This isn't a "think-so" or "hope-so" kind of faith. The message of salvation is clear and simple.


Step 1-Admit that you are a sinner
    
     *Romans 3:10-"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
     *Romans 3:23-"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."


Step 2-Understand that there is a penalty for sin

     *Romans 6:23a-"For the wages of sin is death"
     *Hebrews 9:27-"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."


Step 3-Realize that you can't get to heaven on your own

     *Ephesians 2:8,9-"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift God:
      NOT OF WORKS, lest any many should boast."
     *Titus 3:5-"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us."


Step 4-Know that Jesus died on the cross and paid that penalty for you

     *Romans 6:23b-"But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."   
     *Romans 5:8-"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."


Step 5-Put your faith in Jesus alone and accept Him as your Savior

     *Romans 10:9,10-"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
      that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
      righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
     *Romans 10:13-"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."


When your life ends here on earth, there is only one of two places that you will spend eternity--heaven or hell. Because of your sin, you "fall short of the glory of God" (heaven), meaning that you deserve to spend eternity in hell. But God loves you so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and pay the penalty for you. There is nothing you can do to save yourself. There are not enough good deeds that you can do to get to heaven. The Bible is clear that the ONLY way to be assured of heaven is to put your faith and trust in Christ and what He did for you when He died on the cross. If you would like to accept Him as your Savior, simply believe in Jesus and ask Him today to save you from your sins.
